房兵曹胡马
胡马大宛名，锋棱瘦骨成。
竹批双耳峻，风入四蹄轻。
所向无空阔，真堪托死生。
骁腾有如此，万里可横行。
The Hu horse, renowned as Dàwān,
Sharp-edged and lean, its bones well-formed.
Ears pointed like bamboo leaves,
Wind rustles through its four light hooves.
No expanse is too wide for its advance,
Truly capable of bearing life and death.
Swift and spirited, it possesses such prowess,
Across a thousand miles it can traverse with ease.
